COA4, 1-87a Human, His tag, E.coli

Categories: [Proteins / Peptides]
Cytochrome c oxidase assembly factor 4 homolog, mitochondrial, also known as COA4, is the last enzyme of the mitochondrial respiratory chain, is a very complicated process and requires the assistance of a large number of accessory factors. It is essential for oxidative phosphorylation and comprises multiple complexes, including cytochrome c oxidase, assembled in macromolecular supercomplexes. Defects in COX4 assembly alter cellular respiration and produce severe human encephalomyopathies. Recombinant human COA4 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
