PFDN6, 1-129aa, Human, His tag, E.coli

Categories: [Proteins / Peptides]
PFDN6, also known as HKE2 or PFD6, is a subunit of the heteromeric prefoldin complex that chaperones nascent actin and alpha- and beta-tubulin chains pending their transfer to the cytosolic chaperonin containing TCP1 (CCT) complex. It binds specifically to cytosolic chaperonin (c-CPN) and transfers target proteins to it and binds to nascent polypeptide chain and promotes folding in an environment in which there are many competing pathways for nonnative proteins.
