Rheb (ras homolog enriched in brain) is a 20 kDa protein identified as a Ras homolog expressed in the rat hippocampus, but it widely exists in a variety of cells. It is also reported that GTP-binding form is predominant in Rheb, unlike other low molecular weight GTP-binding proteins.
