CSDC2, 1-153aa, Human His tag, E.coli

Categories: [Proteins / Peptides]
CSDC2, as known as cold shock domain-containing protein C2, is RNA-binding factor which binds specifically to the very 3'-UTR ends of both histone H1 and H3.3 mRNAs, encompassing the polyadenylation signal. The cold shock domain containing proteins (CSDPs) are one group of the evolutionarily conserved nucleic acid-binding proteins widely distributed in bacteria, plants, animals, and involved in various cellular processes, including adaptation to low temperature, cellular growth, nutrient stress and stationary phase. It may play a central role in the negative regulation of histone variant synthesis in the developing brain. Recombinant human CSDC2 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography.
